Course Description

      It has become well acknowledged that globalization is one of the major forces shaping our world. “Intercultural Communication(ICC)" is designed to help you meet the challenges of interacting with people from different cultural backgrounds around the world. It aims to arm you with  a mindful, open, flexible and tolerant sense of intercultural communication, enhanced verbal & nonverbal communicative strategies, and simultaneously foster your cultural identity, reflective capacity and ability to pass down and enrich your cultural heritage, so that you could possess broader international vision, stronger international competitiveness, and could make more effective intercultural communication in the global context.

The highlight of the course is: students will be exposed to multiple opportunities of interacting with foreign friends either in the local classroom or via online virtual classroom.

课程概要

众所周知，全球化已经成为塑造世界的重要力量之一。《跨文化交流》课程旨在帮助你迎接与不同文化背景的人交往的诸多挑战。本课程拟培养学生敏锐、开放、灵活、宽容的跨文化交流意识，提高其相应的言语/非言语跨文化交流能力和策略，同时增强其自我文化身份感、文化反思力和文化传承创新能力等，以促进学生拥有宽广的国际视野和较强的国际竞争力，为在全球背景中进行成功有效的跨文化交流打下良好的思想文化素质基础。课程亮点是：学生们将有多次机会与外国友人在本地课堂或者网络虚拟课堂里交流互动。
